AHDI Approved Medical Transcription Schools
AHDI stands for the Association of Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI) which is long for a medical transcription association. AHDI will review medical transcription training courses and will put their stamp of approval on the courses that meet their high standards of quality. This is good for 2 reasons:
- students have the confidence that the AHDI approved school they are attending is a good, quality school and
- employers have peace of mind that their new employee can actually perform all the job functions of a medical transcriptionist.
How do you know which schools are AHDI approved? Most schools will proudly display the AHDI approved logo on their online course page. But the best place to look is the AHDI website: www.ahdionline.org. There you can find a list of schools that have been approved.
Getting training from an AHDI approved school is the absolute best thing you can do to kick start your new medical transcription career.
